ANONYMOUS SERIES, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.644 grams), Uncertain mint (possibly Rome), obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA incuse on tablet, (S.31 [£225 VF], Cr.30/1, Syd. 64b). Dark tone, good very fine and very scarce.
