INDIA, late 19th century, tusk carving of the Hindu God of War, Kartikeya, depicted mounted on a Peacock, holding a variety of weapons, flanked by two consorts, snake at base, (12cm high, 8cm wide). A few losses to the top right, otherwise very fine and scarce.
