TERRITORY OF NEW GUINEA, District Officer's cap badge, c1930s, in gilt brass (54x67mm) (Mira p173 illustrated), by Amor, Sydney, with two fold-over suspenders, one missing. Toned extremely fine and rare.

Ex D.G.L.Worland Collection and Noble Numismatics Sale 116 (lot 1466) and previously ex Noble Numismatics Sale 76 (lot 986) and Peter E.Williams Collection.^In Cowrie to Kina p172, Mira states that the number of officers was small, there were 73 by 1937.
