EADGAR, (959-975 AD), silver penny (1.19g), pre-reform coinage, two line type, Group MT NEV, moneyer Man, obv. small cross, EADGAR REX around, rev. MANAN MO in two lines, three cross patees dividing, trefoil of pellets above and below (S.1129; N.741). Slightly frayed edge, toned, very fine.

Ex Tetney Hoard, May 1945, purchased from York Coins, with old A.H. Baldwin ticket.
