AETHELRED II, (978-1016 AD), silver penny (1.38g), long cross type, London mint, moneyer Leofryd, obv. bare headed bust to left, +AEDELRED REX ANGLO (NG ligated), rev. voided long cross, +LEOFRYD M'O LVND (S.1151; N.774). Peck marks, minor flan flaw by M of M'O on reverse, dark toned, very fine.
