PESCENNIUS NIGER, (A.D. 193-194), silver denarius, Antioch mint, issued A.D. 193-4, (2.668 grams), obv. laureate head of Pescennius Niger to right, around [IM]P CAES C PESCEN NIGER IVST AVG, rev. around INVICTO I MPERAT, trophy with arms below, (cf.S.1724A, cf.RIC 34a, cf.RSC 33). An unpublished obverse reading for this reverse, round, good very fine and extremely rare.
