PETERSHAM SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL HALL PRESENTATION KEY, in gold (9ct; 13.40g; 22x54mm), by W.Kerr, features a gold key with the front engraved with Municipality of Petersham Incorporated 1871, and on the reverse is inscribed, "Presented to Mrs. R.Gendle./on the/Official Opening/Petersham Soldiers'/Memorial Hall,/Feby. 1925.", pin-back with safety chain, with unofficial box. Extremely fine.

Ex Late Jack Grace Collection.^Mrs R.Gendle was the wife of Richard Gendle who for many years was an alderman of the Petersham Council and was mayor in 1918 and 1919. He also took a keen interest in the Returned Soldiers' League and opened the Petersham Soldiers' Memorial Hall.
