GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, (3.032 grams), Rome mint, issued 241, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Apollo seated to left, holding branch with arm on lyre, around PM TR P III COS II P P, (S.2474, RIC 114, C.238). As struck, good extremely fine.
