MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip III Arrhidaios, (323-317 B.C.),^gold stater, uncertain mint in Phoenicia or Syria, (8.51 g), struck under Laomedon, obv. head of Athena to right in crested Corinthian helmet, ornamented with a serpent, rev. Nike standing to left, holding wreath in outstretched hand and stylis, trophy in left field, **F* below left wing, (cf.S.6746, cf.Price 3571 [tetradrachm]). Off centre on obverse, fine and apparently unique.
