ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), gold aureus, Rome Mint, issued 139, (7.05 g), obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, bare head to right, rev. TR POT COS II, Pietas standing left by altar, holding box of incense and raising right hand, (S.-, RIC 53a, C.862). Surface gouges on obverse and reverse, has been bent and straightened, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
