GRATIAN, (A.D. 367-383), gold solidus, Milan Mint, issued A.D. 380-382, (4.46 g), obv. Gratian, pearl diademed bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around DN GRATIA NVS PF AVG, rev. two emperors facing side by side, supporting globe between them, palm between the emperors legs, upper part of Victory hovering above in the background, around VICTOR IA AVGG, in exergue COM, (S.19917, RIC 5f and 8b, C.37). Slight scratch on obverse, nearly extremely fine - extremely fine and rare.
