SICILY, Himera, (c.530-520 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.44 g), obv. cock with closed wings strutting to left with claw raised, border of dots around, rev. windmill sail pattern of four raised and four sunken triangles within segmented linear border, (S.715, Kraay Hirmer 67, BMC 3 var). Attractively toned, well struck, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
