ISLANDS OF THRACE, Thasos, (after 148 BC), silver tetradrachm, (16.73 g), obv. head of Dionysus right, wearing ivy wreath and tainia, rev. Herakles standing facing, head left, holding club and lionskin, MH monogram to left (S.1759, HGC 6 359, BMC 74). Red toned in devices on obverse, very fine.
