MACEDON, Akanthos, (c.430-390 B.C.), silver diobol (11mm, 0.92 g), obv. helmeted head of Athena right, **P* before visor (very faint), rev. quadripartite incuse square, AKAN in quarters, (cf.S.1366, AMNG III/2, 29-30 var (obv letter not noted), HGC 3.1, 393 var (same), CNG E-406, lot 100). Porous surfaces, very fine and extremely rare with letter on obverse.
