MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.16 g), Arados Mint, issued 325/4-324/3 B.C. under Menes, obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, **D* behind, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, A**P* (civic) monogram below throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6749, Price 3307, Duyrat Group III, Series 3, 49 [D13/R14]). Toned, very fine and extremely rare.

Ex Anthony (Tony) Taylor Collection.^CNG 425, lot 62.^Only three noted by Duyrat (= same three in Pella [erroneously placed under Price 3305]), none in CoinArchives.
