ATTICA, Athens, silver tetradrachm, (124-123 B.C. or 92-91 B.C. revised date), (16.15 g), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasos, dotted border, rev. owl standing right, head facing on prostrate amphora, to right a trident and dolphin, **A QE/XE NO* across, on left side in four rows **[K]LHS/[A]PMO/XE/NOS*, letter K below on amphora **PER* below in exergue, all within olive wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 1091b [same dies], BMC 987, Sv 77,8 [same obverse die], HGC 4, 1602). About extremely fine, short on flan, very rare.

Ex Freeman & Sear, September 9, 2002, (lot 10). There is a difference of 32 years less between Thompson and the suggested revised chronology.
