ACHAIA, Achaian League, Lakedaimon (Sparta), (c.85 B.C.), silver triobol - hemidrachm, (14mm, 2.40 g, 7h), obv. laureate head of Zeus right, rev. Achaian League monogram, monogram above, piloi of the Dioskouroi flanking, monogram below, all within wreath, (cf.S.3000, Benner 6, BCD Peloponnesos 865.4, HGC 5, 643). Lightly toned, struck on good silver, good very fine and scarce.
