SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VIII Grypos, third reign (109-96 BC), silver tetradrachm (15.85g), Antioch on the Orontes mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus right, rev. Zeus enthroned left, holding Nike in right hand, who is crowning Zeus, sceptre in left, EP monogram over A to left, **P* below throne, **BASILEWS ANTIOCOY* to right and **EPIFANOUS* to left (SC 2309.2f, Newel SMA 407; HGC 9 1200). Bright metal, obverse scratches, very fine.
