PALESTINE, Judea, Herodian Dynasty, Herod the Great (37 BC - 4 BC), bronze 4 prutot (5.32g), Samaria or Sebaste mint, issued 38/7 BC, obv. shield with decorated rim, rev. crested helmted, **HREWDOU BASILEWS* around (HGC 10 652; Hendin 1170); Herod Agrippa, (41-44 AD), bronze prutah (2.59g), Antioch mint, issued 41 AD, obv. umbrella-like canopy with fringes, rev. three ears of barley, L S to eaither side (date), (Meshorer 120: Hendin 553). Very fine. (2)
