INDO-SKYTHIAN, Azes I, (c.58-12 B.C.), billon tetradrachm, (8.66g), obv. King on horseback right, holding whip, **BASILE BASILEON METAOU AZOU; letter before, name in Greek below, rev. Athena standing right, holding spear and shield in left hand and raising right, monogram behind and another before (HGC 12 637; Whitehead Azes I 152). Offcentre on a small flan, verdigris, nearly very fine.
