C. TITINIUS, (141 BC), silver denarius (3.77g), Rome mint, obv. Helmeted head of Roma to right, mark of value (XVI) behind, rev. Victory driving galloping biga to right, holding reins and whip, C.TITINI below, [R]OM[A] in exergue (Crawford 226/1a; Sydenham 445; S.102). Porous, pitting top of reverse, toned, nearly very fine.
