RUBRIUS DOSSENUS, (87 BC), silver denarius (3.39g), obv. laureate head of Jupiter right, sceptre over shoulder, DOSSEN behind, rev. empty triumphal quadriga right, thunderbolt on side panel, surmounted by small wreath bearing victory, L.RVBRI in exergue (S.258, RRC 348/1); L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus, (62 BC), silver denarius (3.64g), veiled and diademed head of Concordia facing right, PAVLLVS LEPIVS CONCRODIA around, rev. L. Aemilius Paullus standing to right of trophy, Perseus and his two sons captive to left, TER above [PAVLVS] in exergue (illus.) (S.366; RRC 415/1; Syd 926). Dark toned, fine; reverse struck slightly off centre, deeply toned over an old cleaning, very fine. (2)
