AUGUSTUS, (27 BC - 14 AD), silver denarius (3.31g), Lugdunum mint, struck 2 BC - 4 AD, obv. laureate head of Augsutus right, CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, rev. Gaius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, shields and spears between them, above on left simpulum to right, and on the right a lituus to left, in exergue C L CAESARE[S], around AVGVS[TI F C]OS DESIG PRINC IVVENT, (S.1597; RIC 207; RSC 43; BMC 519). Toned, slight surface porosity, nearly very fine.
