ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius (2.96g), Rome mint, issued 148 AD, obv. laureate head right, ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XVII, rev. Annona standing left, holding two corn ears and resting left hand on a modius set on prow, COS IIII around (S.4068; RIC III 231; RSC 291); another (3.53g), Rome mint, issued 156-7 AD, obv. laureate head right, ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P IMP II, rev. Ceres seated left, draped, holding a torch and corn ears (S.4127; RIC III 259; RSC 1006). Both toned, nearly very fine. (2)
