SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), silver denarius (3.22g), Rome mint, issued 222 AD, obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. P M TR P COS P P, Fortuna standing to left, holding rudder on globe and cornucopiae, star in field, (S.7892, RIC 267, RSC 223a). Toned, nearly extremely fine.
