JULIA MAMAEA, (A.D. 222-35), silver denarius (3.70g), Rome mint, issued A.D. 225-35, obv. diademed bust right, IVLIA MAMAEA AVG, rev. Vesta, veiled, standing left, holding palladium and sceptre (S.-; RSC 81; RIC IV.II (Severus Alexander) 360). Toned with underlying lustre, extremely fine.
