MAXIMINUS I THRAX, (A.D. 235-8), silver denarius (2.50g), Rome mint, 2nd emission, issued 236 AD, obv. laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, rev. Victory advancing right, holding wreath in outstretched right hand and palm frond over left shoulder (S.8317; RIC IV 16; RSC 99a). Toned, minor porosity, good very fine/ nearly extremely fine.
