GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-44), silver antoninianus (4.30g), Rome mint, issued 243-4 AD, obv. radiate, draped ma d cuirassed bust right, IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Gordian in military attire, advancing right, holding globe and spear, PM TR P VI COS II PP (S.8652; RSC 276; RIC 94). Slightly worn reverse die, light toning in legends, extremely fine/ very fine.
