HERENNIUS ETRUSCUS, son of Trajan Decius (A.D. 250-1), silver antoninianus (4.47g), Rome mint, issued 250 AD, obv. radiate and raped bust right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB, rev. emblems of the priestley college, PIETAS AVGVSTORVM around (S.9521; RIC IV 143; RSC 14); another (2.70g) (possible forgery?), rev. Spes advancing left, holding flower and lifting skirt, SPES PVBLICA around (S.9526; RIC IV 149). Very fine. (2)

Ex S.J. Green Collection, the first from Heritage Auctions 232032 (lot 61215), the second from Noble Numismatics Sale 124 (lot 3431 part) and previously ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection.
