MT MAGNET GOLDFIELDS BROOCH, c1908, in gold (15ct; 9.34g; 59x40mm), attributed to Donovan & Overland, features a bar with a winch with a tray of nuggets and below is a miner's bucket and from one end to the other end of the bar is an arched bar and attached are the cut-out letters, "Mt MAGNET", pin-back with safety chain, in damaged box of William Hooper, Watchmaker Jeweller and optician, Perth & Fremantle. Toned extremely fine.

Jack Grace states in his book that this is the only known Mt Magnet brooch and that it was possibly sold by William Hooper at his retail establishments.
