GROUP OF FIVE. Military Cross (GVR); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal; Defence Meal 1939-45; British War Medal 1939-45. Capt V.F.Craig on second medal and third medals. First, and last two medals unnamed, second and third medals impressed. Very fine.
M.C.:L.G. 27Jun1917. 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty constructing a bomb block and holding it with an advanced party of infantry for many hours against determined enemy attacks. But for his splendid example of personal courage and coolness in rallying the men and replacing casualties the block could not have benn held. He showed marked resource under very trying conditions'. With Army Officers Record of Service, photo, newspaper clipping regards the Military Cross and some research.
