CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, on a 1797 cartwheel penny with obverse shaved smooth, on the obverse side is crudely carved, "John Stuart/18 (a heart with an arrow through it) 22/For W (illegible/P(illegible)". Good.
John Stuart, estimated age 29, occupation unknown, sentenced to 7 years in the colonies for stealing. Arrived in Van Diemen's Land on 18 April 1825. With research.
