MELBOURNE EXHIBITION 1875, Philadelphia 1876, medal in bronze (69mm) (C.1876/6), designed by O.R.Campbell, engraved by J.Hogarth and struck by Stokes & Martin, features James Cook and Christopher Columbus resting arms on a globe showing the Pacific Ocean with each carrying a navigation tool of their era, reverse features a Latin inscription within a wreath, edge with impressed name, "M.C.French.". Oxidation marks particularly on reverse, otherwise good very fine.
