SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, NSW, 1879, in silver (51mm), by J.S. & A.B.Wyon, features a figure of New South Wales standing holding a wreath and the colonial shield surrounded by exhibition goods and behind is a view of the Sydney Garden Palace Exhibition Building, on the reverse is an open wreath of flowers and the recipient's name and award, inscribed to, "Awarded/To/Hon Philip Russell/Carngham Victoria/For Wool/1879", with suspension loop fitted to edge. Edge nick, hairlines and contact marks, otherwise very fine.
