MEMORIAL FOB, in voided enamel and gold (9ct; 4.70g; 32x35mm), by W (Willis), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, '25.4.18', reverse inscribed, 'Presented by/Jumbuk Residents/To/Mr & Mrs Keonig/In Token Of/Pte T.J.Keonig/Died on Active Service 26.9.17'. Extremely fine.

Note: Surname is misspelt. It should be Koenig not Keonig. Thomas John Koenig, age 25, born at Boisdale, Vic; Enl.09Jul1915 at Broadmeadow, Vic in 31Bn; Emb.16Jun1915; to France 16Jun1916; WIA 20Jul1916; KIA 26Sep1917 Belgium.^
