SIERRA LEONE, Queen Victoria, Chief's Medal, c1870 in silver (72mm, 5mm thick; 156g) holed for suspension with jump ring and length of yellow ribbon with green edges (Jamieson 49). Old cut in right obverse field, dull otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare.

Ex John J. Ford Collection, part VII (lot 330) previously Colonel Sir Gifford Sadler (Glendining's May 1983, lot 20).
