SYRIA, Antioch ad Orontem, Philip II, (247-49 AD), billon tetradrachm (11.36g), Emesan issue, issued 249 AD, obv. laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, AYT OK KMIOYA III AINNOCEI rev. eagle standing to front, head right, holdong a wreath in it's beak, [DHNAPX ESOVCAIC YNA TO R] around, ANTIOXIA in exergue, SC below (Prieur 474; c.f. S.4146) . Well struck on a broad flan, underlying lustre, good very fine or better.

Ex S.J. Green Collection, purchased from Heritage Auctions Sale 231648 (lot 61072). Previously in a slab by NGC as Ch XF (certificate number 4252641-107).
