DENMARK, Kingdom of, Land Clearance medal, 1760, in silver (47 mm, 28.74g), by Vitus Monrad (Galster 456, F.V. 173 xx1). Edge knocks, surface marks, very fine and extremely rare.
From the estate of an early Danish New Zealand 'Dannevirk' settler.^^104 medals were issued, however most were melted down. ^
