TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. Captain. J.Reiach. 12/F.Amb. A.I.F. on first medal, Lieut-Col. J.Reiach. A.I.F. on second medal and Lt-Colonel J.Reiach. A.I.F. on last medal. All medals impressed. Swing mounted, toned good very fine.

Together with voided Australia title bar with pin-back; silver cigarette case with engraved initials on lid, 'JR', made by William Neale and hallmarked for Chester 1906, with several dents.^James Reiach, registered medical practitioner, age 46, born at Greenock, Scotland; Applied for commission in AAMC 14Oct1914 while operating a medical practice in Molong, NSW; Appt Captain and joined MEF at Gallipoli 04Apr1915; to Major 01Jan1916; TOS 4FAmb 20Jan1916; trf to 12FAmb 29Feb1916; to join BEF in France 11Jun1916; to hospital in England with rheumatism 01Dec1916; to Lt-Col 20Jul1918; RTA 31Jul1918; Appt Terminated 09Sep1919; after this he joined the staff of the Repatriation Department before retiring in about early 1935; Died 04Sep1936 at Manly, NSW and the funeral was held at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium.
