ITALY, Bruttium, Croton, (420-390 B.C.), silver stater, (7.158 grams), obv. eagle standing to right on Ionic column with closed wings, olive branch to right, rev. tripod-lebes with neck and three handles, in field to right QPO, to left a fillet from the tripod, (cf.S.470, SNG ANS 339). Very fine with attractive grey tone, rare.
