SICILY, Acragas (Agrigentum), (c.520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group II, (8.315 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AKR[A] behind, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, SNG Cop.40 [Pl.1 same obverse die]. cf.SNG ANS 951-2 [similar dies]). Uneven flan with striking crack in edge, of good silver, nearly very fine/good very fine and a rare type.
