THRACE, (Moesia Superior), Viminacium, Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), AE 29, (19.246 grams), year 8 = 247, obv. Laureate draped bust to right of Philip, around IMP IVL PHILIPPVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Moesia standing left between bull and lion, around P M S C OL VIM, in exergue AN VIII, (cf.S.3874, AMNG 104, BMC 24, SNG Cop.-). With delightful dark green surface patina, light edge corrosion, extremely fine and very scarce.
