IONIA, Ephesos, (c.128-67 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.506 grams), issued year 31 = 104-103 B.C., obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left A**L* over bee over **EFE*, to right torch, (cf.S.4389, Kleiner [Museum Notes 18] No.35). Slightly off centred, fine/good fine.
