JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.032 grams), obv. draped bust of Julia Soaemias to right, around IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAELESTIS Venus seated left, holding apple and sceptre, (S.2171, RIC 243, RSC 14). Toned extremely fine and rare in this condition.
