SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 222-8, Rome mint, (3.012 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI, Jupiter standing left with thunderbolt and sceptre, (S.2208, RIC 141, RSC 70b). Grey and blue tone nearly as struck nearly uncirculated and rare in this condition.
