MAXIMUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, (22.4 grams), obv. MAXIMVS CAES GERM, bare headed draped bust to right of Maximus, rev. PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, Maximus standing left holding rod and spear, two standards to right, SC across field, (S.2377, RIC 9, C.12). Uneven green tone, nearly very fine, scarce.
