GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 240-4 (14.890 grams), obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. around LAETITIA AVG, SC across field, Laetitia standing to left, holding wreath and anchor, (S.2488, RIC 300a, C.122). With an attractive brown patination, extremely fine/good very fine.
