DIOCLETIAN, (A.D. 284-305), silver argentius, Nicomedia mint, issued A.D. c.295-7 (2.770 grams), obv. laureate head of Diocletian to right, around DIOCLET IANVS AVG, rev. around VICTORIAE SARMATICAE, SMN**G* in exergue, camp gate with four turrents and open door, (S.3504, RIC 22a, RSC.492a). Extremely fine and extremely rare.
