MAXIMIANUS, (A.D. 286-305 first reign), AE follis, Heraclea mint, issued A.D. 297-8 (9.318 grams), obv. laureate head of Maximianus to right, around IMP C M A MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, rev. around GENIO POPU LI ROMANI, Genius standing to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, in exergue HTA, (cf.S.3631, RIC 19b). Attractive tone, extremely fine and scarce.
