HARTHACNUT, (1035-1042), silver penny, arm and sceptre type, issued 1040-1042, obv. CNV T RE ANGL, bust with sceptre to left, rev. RINVLF ON NORDP (Ringulf of Norwich), with short cross voided with quatrefoil with pellet in each angle and in centre, (S.1169, N.811, Br.2, BMC II). Toned, weak in places, minor surface roughness, otherwise very fine and rare.
